Scrolling over open applications in panel and window frame

Hey guys,

I will attempt my best to communicate this.
You know when you have open applications and you can see the icon in the panel.
When you scroll your mouse over each icon it highlights a frame/border around that application whether it be in the background or whatever.
Is it possible to make it so that I see the actual screen as I hover over each ?

Re: Scrolling over open applications in panel and window frame

Hello and welcome.
Which distro version of Xfce are you running?

The frame is being shown because of "Draw window frame when hovering over a button" is enabled in the Window Buttons properties. If you scroll wheel over the window buttons it will cycle the windows and bring them on top for you to see ("switch windows using the mouse wheel" must be enabled).

But if you are looking for some sort of preview when hovering over a button, that doesn't currently exist.

Hey man

Manjaro on my end.

thank you so much for the scroll wheel tip ; changes my workflow for the better . I really don't care much for that feature which I was speaking about when the scroll wheel works so intuitively and brings the windows front. appreciate it .
