VPN tab missing on network manager

Hello fellow Xfce users.
I've recently changed my system from Manjaro to Debian Buster, both of them with Xfce.

I use a lot of vpn so when I first tried to configure to access my university network, after clicking on "add a vpn connection" I was getting no response.

Looking around on the web I've been suggested to install the network-manager-openconnect package.

Now I can get to the vpn editing screen but the VPN tab is nowhere to be found.

Can anybody help?

Re: VPN tab missing on network manager

UPDATE

I've been messing around with the network manager and found out that other vpn options are working fine, but whenever I select to create a Cisco AnyConnect compatible VPN (openconnect) the VPN tab is missing.

Still working on it but any help would be much appreciated.

Does installing network-manager-openvpn-gnome help?

Yea that was one of the first solutions I've found out there. Didn't worked though.

Re: VPN tab missing on network manager

Here is another UPDATE:

Since everyone in multiple forums were suggesting to download gnome packages I decided to try:

sudo apt-get install network-manager-openconnect-gnome

It actually worked.

I feel kind of stupid now, sorry for the nuisance and thanks for the help.

Re: VPN tab missing on network manager

I had the same issue. This is confusing. The two packages are similarly named, and network-manager-openvpn-gnome feels like something you shouldn't install on Xfce...
