xfce4-power-manager: Can't remember display brightness upon reboot

I noticed that xfce4-power-manager doesn't save display brightness during shutdown/reboot. When the computer booted up, the display brightness rolled back to 100% instead of the intended display brightness set

Re: xfce4-power-manager: Can't remember display brightness upon reboot

You can create a bug report/enhancement request (not sure if xfce4-power-manager is coded to save/restore brightness settings) here.

The other option is to manually script something to save the setting on logout and restore it on login. Not sure of the distro you are using, but here is the Arch Wiki Backlight page that talks about built-in systemd functionality to do that or alternative programs (relight, brillo, light).
