[RESOLU] volume UBUNTU 21.04

Hello,
Before the update from Ubuntu 20.10 to Ubuntu 21.04 XFCE the volume was displayed in practical percentage to manage the level of the different outputs.
However, now in Ubuntu 21.04 I no longer have the percentage of sound or the Orage plugin for the time being!

Has anyone done this update and fixed this problem?

Thanks for your help...

Val.

As for the orage plugin, have a read through this thread.

I'm not sure I understand the issue about the volume. Is the source of this the xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin, or pulseaudio in general?

Thank you, but it is precisely the "Orage" plugin of the xfce4-panel dashboard that interests me and it is not compatible from what I have read.

for the volume I would like to see the level in percentage when I turn up the sound as it was before.

If it's the xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin that you are talking about, and the "level of percentage" being the notification bubble that pops up when you change the volume, then make sure that "Show notifications when volume changes" is enabled in the xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin properties.

Yes that's it, I have already activated the notifications, but with the percentage it is better.

that said, the tooltip does display the percentage, but it's not practical to read.

I don't recall there every being a percentage indicator on the bubble displayed by the pulseaudio plugin. Were you maybe using another audio plugin?

Re: [RESOLU] volume UBUNTU 21.04

Xfce has 2: xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin and xfce4-mixer (though the later is not yet compatible with Xfce 4.16).

Xfce can support any sound panel applet that supports systray functionality though, like pnmixer, pa-applet, volti. Not sure which of these will work with Xfce 4.16, the point being that maybe you used one of these other ones before?

Alt+F2 and run "pnmixer". To have it start automatically when you log in, add it to Settings Manager > Session and Startup > Application Autostart.

after test, it has nothing to do with what I had.
I will try to install a virtual machine with Ubuntu 20.10 identical to the old installation on my PC and see if this functionality was original or due to an additional plugin.

Thank you for your help.
