start xfce-terminal on atuo login

Raspbian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch)
XFCE 4.12
VNC server

I am using VNC remote login

In sessions I have:
sh /home/pi/bin/direwolf.sh

If I log out and log back in, the script runs, the terminal opens and direwolf runs. When I restart the pi and login in, the terminal does not open.

Any advice on how to get this working? Id there anywhere else I can put the script (bash.rc ?).

Thanks

Re: start xfce-terminal on atuo login

You might want to consider placing .bash_aliases in your home directory then call your executable file from .bash_aliases. I have a file that I named run-id.sh that I run on each of my systems, including two raspberry pi devices of different vintage. It is written to give slightly different results from each computer (currently six) the file is installed on.
It runs when I logon to a remote device using ssh; or when I logon directly, it runs when I open xfce4-terminal.

The file .bash_aliases is not installed in your home directory by default, but a template for the file can be found at /shared/data/tmp/x.bash_aliases

Good luck, and have fun:)
