Mouse sensitivity cannot be set

Due to work reasons, I came into contact with a customized system, which is composed of Ubuntu Server 20.04 + XFCE4. The mouse sensitivity I set in this system is invalid. May I ask what is the cause of this situation?

What do you mean by "invalid"? Is there any error message of sorts?

Anyway, mouse settings are controlled by libinput, synaptics and the like.

Thank you for your reply and the information you provided！
This "Invalid" means that after I changed the mouse sensitivity, the mouse sensitivity didn't change at all.
