Noob trying to make mouse pointer larger

Trying to get a bigger pointer.  I've gone from 24 to 32, and no change is seen.  Do I have to log-out and/or restart to activate the change?  I'd attach a screen shot, but don't see where to attach such...   Thx.

Hello and welcome!

I think it depends on the theme. In my case I use the default white pointer, and it has effectively three sizes:

Starting at 16 (the selector doesn't go lower): 16-28, 29-40 & 41-48 (can't go over 48 either).

I tried different themes and they had different thresholds (including some that didn't change size at all), so it must be theme dependant and somehow hardcoded...

But I'm sure you can find a more suitable cursor theme for you. Let's see if our fellow Xfce users have some recommendation or more info, anyone?

Try the Chameleon cursor theme.  That has a range of sizes.
