Xfdesktop not showing custom action icons in desktop right click.

In xfce 4.14 i have several custom actions with custom icons. Actions works fine in right click context menu but their icons not appear, except those from root path.

My custom icons located in home directory.

The Thunar uca.xml config file looks fine without errors.

Os: Xubuntu 20.04

How to display custom icons in right click menu?

Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Xfdesktop not showing custom action icons in desktop right click.

Hello and welcome.

There was a bug a while back where the full icon path was not being processed properly. I assume this is what you are hitting (it has since been fixed). To get around it, create an ~/.icons directory and move the icon in there.

Then edit the custom action, change the icon, and look for and select it from the "All Icons" listing (don't use the "Image Files" option).

ToZ, thank you for the quick reply. My current workaround is copying my custom icons directly to /usr/share/icons. Should i place them in home directory?

Either will work. /usr/share/icons would be accessible by all users of the system while ~/.icons would only be accessible by your account.
