Facebook photo upload

My wife's computer is toast and refuses me/her from buying another, she is death to electroncs, but enough of the backstory, when you click in Facebook to add photo(s) in Windows, explorer comes up so you can view multiple images, large that is, but in Linux you get File upload window with no means to size the images as it doesn't bring up Thunar.
Is there another alternative to Ffle upload window thru some setting somewhere?
