Documentation? Creating plugin for thunar (re: file colors)

I haven't heard anything about any way to set the file colors for thunar, so I thought I would go ahead and take the next step - do it myself.  I'm finding myself stuck getting started because I can't find much documentation.  There are plenty of broken links and a few helpful leads, but I'm not finding anything that would be super helpful.

Can anyone point me in a good direction for documentation on creating a plugin for thunar?

Is this even a reasonable thing to do?

Help, suggestions, and comments all welcome!

The documentation is built-in to thunar (if your distro built thunar with the "--enable-gtk-doc" paramater). Have a look on your system in most likely /usr/share/gtk-doc/html/thunarx.

exo-open --launch WebBrowser /usr/share/gtk-doc/html/thunarx/index.html

Well, the debian repositories for SolydXK doesn't seem to have been built with that.  Are these html help documents the same ones that are available on the web page?

No, they are different. Here are links to the two sets that are built from the current git tree:

- thunarx
- thunarx-python
