CSS Responsive for Mobile Friendly Site for XFCE Forum

Hello, I just want to share, I add some simple make over for forum.xfce.org, that will make this forum a little bit better in mobile device, the project is in https://gitlab.xfce.org/benlimanto/foru … sive/style, and if anyone from the Admins interested, then would anyone please give a feedback regarding the css?

There are live test instance in https://xfce.benyamin.xyz, the user is admin, pass is admin123

For the frontend, mostly already fixed, but some hasn't in backend, I will try to fix the rest, and redeploy the code.

Re: CSS Responsive for Mobile Friendly Site for XFCE Forum

This isn't bad at all, and it would sure help the accessibility of the forum on mobile devices (its not well optimized now). I don't have any control of the infrastructure here, but if you create an issue report and potential merge request here, one of the Xfce admins can have a look and hopefully make the change.

Thanks for the contribution.

Thanks for the heads up. I will try open an Issue first. Thank you!

EDIT : I already open an PR https://gitlab.xfce.org/www/forum.xfce. … requests/1 and also an Issue https://gitlab.xfce.org/www/forum.xfce.org/-/issues/2

I hope they pick it up. Thank you for the suggestion.

That looks nice.

You can post the link to MR in xfce-dev and ask someone to take a look at it. That way you don't have to sit around waiting.

Thanks for jumping in doing the actual work to improve things. Much appreciated!

Hello Thanks for the heads up!

Romian Bouvier do reply to the issue, but I will finish the backend/administrator css asap. and he said that he will upgrade fluxbb to newer version that maintained by others https://gitlab.xfce.org/www/forum.xfce. … note_74792

I will reply to that asap.

Re: CSS Responsive for Mobile Friendly Site for XFCE Forum

Has  there been any further work done on this?  It would be nice to see a more friendly mobile version of the forum. I find it difficult to navigate on a phone or tablet. Rotating the device helps but not optimal.

Edit: I just noticed I can get a simplified view which is better but still not optimal. I'm not a web developer so I'm afraid contributing is not an option for me.
