Issues in Xfce 4.18

I've just installed SparkyLinux 8 with Xfce 4.18.

Several issues:
xfce4-screenshooter -r blanks the screen so it's not possible to see what region is actually being captured

menu text is too condensed:

est

Any remedies?

Thanks

Re: Issues in Xfce 4.18

For the menu text, make sure you are using an Appearance (GTK Theme) that supports GTK3. The one you are using now is probably a GTK2 theme.

Regarding xfce4-screenshooter, see https://gitlab.xfce.org/apps/xfce4-scre … /issues/57. If you disable the compositor, does it work then?

Thanks.
Disabling the compositor fixed the screen grab issue.

How do I check if a theme is GTK 2 or 3?.

Look at the theme's directory structure. If it has a "gtk-3.0" folder, it supports gtk3 to some extent. Which appearance theme are you using?

Re: Issues in Xfce 4.18

What does the following return:

xfconf-query -c xsettings -p /Net/ThemeName

If you use the default built-in Adwaita theme:

xfconf-query -c xsettings -p /Net/ThemeName -s ""

...does the problem persist? If not, then the Greyleigh theme is incompatible.
