Keyboard shortcuts for volume control

I'm not sure whether this is Fedora related or xfce related but as nobody over at the Fedora forums can help me I suspect it may be an xfce issue. I've setup keyboard shortcuts to control my audio volume - Ctrl + up, Ctrl +down and Ctrl + M (mute). But they don't work. I had no idea what the commands were so I just copied the defaut ones, which are:

aumix -v0 (mute)
aumix -v-10 (down)
aumix -v+10 (up)

Are the shortcuts not working because those are the wrong commands for the xfce mixer?

Out of curiosity - the default keyboard shortcuts for the above commands are:

XF86AudioMute
XF86LowerVolume
XF86RaiseVolume

I have no clue what keys they are supposed to represent which is why I created a custom set of shortcuts.

Has anyone managed to set keyboard shortcuts for xfce?  :?

PS. My laptop has a Fn key which when combined with arrow up or arrow down, controls the volume in Windows. If I could possibly get that same keyboard shortcut to work in Fedora I'd be really happy but it doesn't recognise the Fn key. Any way to get it to do that?

Thanks for that. I tried it but it doesn't work for me. What keyboard shortcuts did you set for those commands just out of curiosity? Not that it should matter.

Re: Keyboard shortcuts for volume control

Hello,
you must have installed aumix, otherwise it could not work.
