thunar-volman mount usb-stick sync,noatime?

System: Xubuntu 7.04 (Ubuntu server 7.04 w/XFCE 4.4)

I've uncommented the section in /etc/hal/fdi/policy/preferences.fdi that matches hotpluggable and removable devices < 4gb and sets mount options 'sync' and 'noatime', but these seem to be ignored by thunar-volman.

Is there any other way to force volman to mount removable USB sticks async, noatime?

thanks in advance

I bump this thread to ask if is there anyway to specify mount option to thunar-volman ? I need to add "usefree" option for external FAT32 drive
