I'm all new to linux and Xfce, so please be patient with me.
Using 4.61 on an Acer revo with nvidia. Monitor connected via hdmi. Cannt get any sound via hdmi.....what must I do?
Funny thing when I run XBMC I do have sound.
Thanks in advance for your help
When you open xfce4-mixer, what options appear in the Sound card drop-down list?
Thank you for your reply, however can't answer you as I installed Ubuntu over Xfce.
Hdmi is working now.
I had this same issue. I believe its not with XFCE, but with ALSA/PULSE AUDIO. I uninstalled ALSA and installed OSS and reinstalled XFCE-MIXER plugin just to make sure and used
to turn on HDMI and it works perfect. I am using ArchLinux though, so maybe debian/ubuntu are different.
Well, hope it helps someone.
