Xfce panel and troubles with png+alpha channel background picture.

Hi all, this is my first post (and problem) with xfce.

I'm trying to put a transparent png under xfce4-panel.
First, i tried the murrine engine by including "pangl.png" in gtkrc theme file;
it worked, but i got no transparency. Funny is that when i over the mouse on a "window button" or press it, it becomes transparent; see:
screen1nv.png
Of course rgba is enabled for the murrine engine.

Second, i tried to select that png directly in xfce panel preference, but it seems to me that all "windows buttons" are now shifted one or two pixel up, or maybe they are taller.
The top border overlaps with the panel border, which is ugly, see:
overlapyes.png

But, if i just set a flat background color instead of the image, everything is fine (see the white 1px border on the top of the button)
overlapno.png

Am i missing something or i just hit a bug? Maybe there is a method to specify a margin or a padding to be left around the buttons?
I'm using archlinux packages and xfce4-panel is version 4.8.5

Thanks for reading!

Could you report this at bugzilla.xfce.org then I'll have a look and don't forget it.
