Hi!
I've got a strange issue with Thunar. Thunar displays icons for my two NTFS Partitions, but not for my ext4 Partition. The Partition is already mounted because and I can access it via /media/Mint (Mint is the Partition Label) but there is no shortcut (on the left). However the shortcut appears when I unmount the Mint partition. Then Thunar displays a shortcut and is able to mount/access it. When I remount the Mint partition via command line or Nautilus - and no Thunar instance is running, again the shortcut disappaers.
Nautilus has no Problems at all and displays the shortcut without intervention.
Also, I noticed that no shortcut is diplayed on my Desktop.
That's really weird and I've no idea what's going wrong.
some system information: I'm using Arch Linux and xfce 4.10
fstab:
#
# /etc/fstab: static file system information
#
# <file system> <dir> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
tmpfs /tmp tmpfs nodev,nosuid 0 0
/dev/sda3 swap swap defaults 0 0
LABEL=Arch / ext4 defaults 0 1
LABEL=Mint /media/Mint ext4 defaults 0 0
btw, I found somone experiencing the same issue on another forum [german]: http://www.linuxmintusers.de/index.php?topic=3522.0
Hope you can help.
best regards

I have installed xfce on Arch Linux on my Laptop now and experience the VERY SAME ISSUE.
Now it's the Window 7 partition that Thunar doesn't reconise. Nautilus works perfectly... WTF???
Still no answer from the bugtracker...
Anyways, heres my Laptops fstab configuration file:
#
# /etc/fstab: static file system information
#
# <file system> <dir> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
tmpfs /tmp tmpfs nodev,nosuid 0 0
LABEL=Arch / ext4 defaults 0 1
LABEL=Swap swap swap defaults 0 0
LABEL=Windows7 /media/Windows7 ntfs defaults 0 1

Thunar doesn’t show partitions that are in fstab, that’s a bit annoying, but you can make a shortcut in the side pane instead.

Then how does Thunar handle partitions? Why doesnt it handle partitions as Nautilus?
You mean a shortcut to /media/Windows7? OK I did that. However, then Thunar cannot umount the partition. Is there a 'cleaner' way to fix this?

Maybe remove it from fstab and use "udisks --mount" to mount it in rc.local instead?
