Hi Guys,
just installed Xubuntu 12.04 on my computer with xfce 4.8.
Read that xfce 4.10. is out now, so i'd like to ask if its advisable to upgrade my xfce version?
Thank you and regards
Andi

I've upgraded 12.04 to Xfce 4.10. It works. Follow the instructions here: http://docs.xfce.org/xfce/building.
Two caveats:
1. Make sure you also build thunar-volman plus any panel plugins you want to use
2. When building exo, specify /usr/local as your prefix and:
- a. Edit /etc/ld.so.conf.d/i686-linux-gnu.conf (for 32 bit installs)
- b. Add "/usr/local/lib" to the beginning of the file (so that directory is processed first and the new exo libraries are used)
- c. Run "sudo ldconfig"
Otherwise, the xubuntu team will be putting out a 4.10 PPA in the near future - you can wait for that.
