I am using ubuntu edgy. I currently use Gnome as my desktop and my wireless works flawlessly. I have WPA enabled and I used the network manager applet. When I switch to xfce, my wireless no longer works. In fact, I am unable to get network manager to work at all.
I am not stuck on the network manager applet. If some other method would enable my WPA I would be thrilled. How can I get wpa wireless to work?
Thanks in advance...
Not Xfce related, but you can always try Google.
Its because nm-applet doesn't load on startup, like it does for Gnome and KDE.
I can run nm-applet manually from a terminal and get internet up and working, but thats the only solution I've come up with thus far....
Once you close out the terminal, so does nm-applet, so I have no clue how to load it on startup in XFCE like it does for Gnome and KDE I have no clue at all on that.
Also, WONFIX, doesn't come up with any search results in Google, nothing linux related anyway.
