Ubuntu 9.04, I run it on all my workstations and on as many servers as I can.  I don't use Xubuntu thou, I install all the packages by hand after a command line install using the Alternate installer.

Its Xfce 4.6 with Compiz.  I switch between Compiz and xfwm4.

can you lead me to the wallpaper please?

Yes. It's not really a wallpaper, it was a photo from deviantART that I added to with some GIMP brushes (also from deviantART): http://mailfor.deviantart.com/art/Head- … l-21767676

Re: Screenshots - 2009

Nothing different since this really but I wanted to share the wallpaper I (cough cough) edited.

It started with the brown Gnome colours, changed that to blue and I added the Xubu logo.

I think it's too small to see the details properly.

Can't you post a thumbnail generated by whatever image hosting site you're using?

Xfce4 with xfwm4 compositing
Murrine gtk engine
Terminator tiling terminal embedded with devilspie
Conky script and Conky weather script
Xfce4-panel using cairo patch

I changed my gtk a bit (to make the menu more purple). I also made a mash-up of the "hydroxygen" icon pack's folders, and the "Ultimate Gnome" icon pack's glassy navigation buttons (which I changed to purple from blue using inkscape)..... everything else is basically the same other than the wallpaper:

Hi crimesaucer  smile

Can I find your GTK theme somewhere?
I searched on deviantART and xfce-looks and I did not find it.

I'm sorry, I haven't gotten around to uploading them to xfce4-looks.org/gnome-looks.org.

I just wanted to clean up some of the gtkrc files, and add some details and comments. I will make sure that I contact you as soon as I finish and upload the themes.

Thank you.

This is the same theme with a wallpaper that I just made (using bits and pieces of 3 different wallpapers that I found on deviantART):

Murrine gtk theme
Ultimate Gnome icons (changed to purple) mixed with hydroxygen icon pack
xfce4/xfwm4 compositing
