This happens every single time I login. Using xfce 4.10 on Xubuntu.
I have asked this on the ubuntuforums.org site but no one has any ideas so I thought I'd take it to the good folks who make it.
My appearance settings are bluebird, icons are elementary Xubuntu dark. When I boot up and log in, I'm presented with a totally different theme that includes the Gnome icons (this system does not have gnome installed). I did test out this theme at one point but decided not to keep it. Nevertheless, every time I log in after a reboot, there it is. I have to log out and log back in to get my normal desktop.
Any ideas? I'm not sure which package I should file a bug report against. Pics of can be seen here:

Nautilus is NOT installed and clearing the cache (rm -rf ~/.cache/sessions) hasn't helped.

Here some ideas to test where the bug come from :
- Test your theme with a new empty account.
- Change your login manager
- Disable auto-login
Xfce is NOT Xubuntu. Bugs in Xubuntu don't mean that Xfce is buggy ...

As angstrom said. What display manager Xubuntu uses?

Using lightdm. I'll try the dummy acct and report back.

It's weird. This problem suddenly disappeared on it's own (me taking no action) for a few days then it happened again. Now it's back to behaving itself (for now....). I created a dummy acct. Re-booted and logged into it. It presented the correct theme. I logged out and logged into my "real" acct. and it's fine. Very puzzling.
