xfce-timer-plugin is very tiny!

Hello,
I'm using void linux with xfce 4.18

I was looking for a timer for my PC as it would increase my productivity in a lot

After some googling found this plugin "xfce-timer-plugin" but after installing and adding it to the Panel I kept thinking I had installed it wrong uninstalling and repeating the installing many times and after 15 mins I discovered that it was this very tiny invisible line !!!

So is there any way to enlarge the width of this plugin in the Panel?
Also can I set a tone or sound when the timer runs out to alert me?

Please have a read through this thread regarding padding. Please note that the name of our widget may be different. You can get this specific internal id to your use case by hovering your mouse over the plugin entry on the Items tab in Panel Preferences.

I went into .config/gtk-3 on my computer but I couldn't find the "gtk.css" file
I created a file with this name and put the code in it, but it haven't changed anything

The file needs to be ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css and you need to restart the panel for it to take effect:

xfce4-panel -r

Can you post back the contents of the file you create?

Yeah it works now after using " xfce4-panel -r "

by the way, can I set a tone that plays when the timer runs out?
I noticed that I can set a command in the properties so is there any command code that does this?

The xfce4-timer doc page has an example using the play command. You can also use mplayer or canberra-gtk-play, or any other sound utility.
