All themes dark.

Hello.

For some reason all themes, even light ones, are displayed as dark. The panel and window manager (frames around windows) actually change correctly, but inside all windows (thunar, system settings, etc...) background in dark colors. I deleted all themes in /usr/share/themes/ and ~/.local/share/themes, rebooted and added a couple of light themes in ~/.local/share/themes but with no luck. It looks like there is a dark/light switch somewhere.

I'm using arch and have gtk2, gtk3, gtk4 engines installed and up to date. Thanks for any help.

Hello and welcome.

Check your ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini file to see if you have the gtk-application-prefer-dark-theme property set. If its not there, can you post back:

xfconf-query -c xsettings -lv
echo $GTK_THEME

Yes, that was it! In ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini gtk-application-prefer-dark-theme property was setted to true, I changed it to false and now all themes work as intended. Thank you!
