dual monitor / workspaces

Hi

First of all, in case thats the wrong forum please move it to the right one. Thanks

So I have question regarding dual monitor, I am using a laptop and a external monitor, that works with xrandr so far fine, but i have some problems with the workspace, as example I'd like to watch on the laptop monitor a movie (workspace1), and on the extended monitor doing my work (workspace2). I haven't figure out how to do that, years back with a desktop pc dual monitor / nvidia card was is it easy via twinview etc.. but with radeon I have really no clue how to archive that. Any advice?

Thanks Mark

PS: Sorry for my english I hope you get what i mean.

Re: dual monitor / workspaces

If you haven't worked it out so far, then you need to configure the displays in the settings, making sure not to use "mirror" mode.  You want both monitors displaying their own content.

Once setup you simply move the movie player window to the display that you want to watch it on, and double click for full screen.
