Thunar segmentation fault

Hello. Nice beeing here. Hope to learn a whole lot of new things from this forum.
I'm not a native english speaker.
That beeing said, I'll go straight to the problem. I'm running PCLinuxOS,latest Xfce 4.12, Thunar 1.6.10.

When i try to move files from one folder to another inside Home directory (drag and drop) ,sometimes (like one out of three tries) the Thunar windows close down by themselves. The operation succed every time,,but I have to open the file manager again, and again.

Looking in dmesg,I've noticed this error :

[    0.000000] Thunar[32754]: segfault at 200000008 ip 00007f5625f5c8b0 sp 00007ffeb6123410 error 4 in libc-2.20.so[7f5625ee4000+1aa000]
[    0.000000] Thunar[9141]: segfault at 0 ip 000000000043e95a sp 00007fff05f44a30 error 4 in thunar[400000+ba000]
[    0.000000] Thunar[9215]: segfault at 1 ip 00007f901c30508d sp 00007fffc7a246a8 error 4 in libgobject-2.0.so.0.4600.2[7f901c2d2000+50000]

My question is there is some bug leading to this in mainstream XFce/Thunar,or just PCLinuxOS build is flawed ?
Any hints on how could I resolve it ?
Thanks !

Re: Thunar segmentation fault

There was this bug report that was marked fixed, but I still experienced the same crash as you were. However, the patch from this bug report fixes both the rename bug and the intermittent drag and drop bug like you are seeing.

The patch is still being tested and hasn't been officially released yet.

I see, thank you ! So, its a mainstream bug apparently. Guess we'll have to wait for the fix .
