I'm not 100% certain that this is a problem with xfce, but on my end, something strange is happening with the program krita, and from what I tested, only on xfce.
When you run krita with opengl enabled, on xfce, you must have compositing enabled, or the canvas flickers. It actually flickers, regardless, although with compositing it's only the occasional flicker, esp. if you use something like compton, instead of the xfce compositing. At first I thought that it was simply a bug that required krita to have compositing, but I tried running it on fluxbox, which does not use compositing, and the flickering is not present.
I don't want to constantly enable compositing, since it breaks vdpau overlay, and vsync. So, what might be causing this, that it only happens in xfce? Someone have any clue?
