Desktop is empty

Hi!

I am using Debian 8.3 (testing) with xfce 4.10.

Suddenly (maybe after some debian updates - but I am not sure) my desktop was blank.
It works fine but normally I have the files of the folder ~/Desktop on it and also the trash, home, ...

Now I need to open the filemanager to access the files. All other panels are fine as before.

In Settings - Desktop - Icons the Default Icons are activated but do not show up.

Can anyone help me to get my old view back?

Thanks,
Chris

Re: Desktop is empty

Hello and welcome.

Check to see if xfdesktop is running. If not, try starting it up in a terminal window.

You might also try clearing your saved sessions cache. Delete your ~/.cache/sessions folder while not logged in.
