Anytime I try to rename/copy/paste files it will crash. I've seen there is few patches around, but can we please have fixed 1.6.11 release that anyone can use without having to apply patches them self's ? Thank You!

There are a number of patches circulating in that bug report with varying results from different people. I think there needs to be more testing and consensus before a patch is accepted.

Most Xfce 4.12 ppl solve temporary by use pcmanfm.
But lucky now Xubuntu 16.04 have patch from their staging ppa. I've tested it perfectly worked.

But I doubt what other Xfce Linux distro have that patch.
Even Debian Stretch/ Sid Xfce doesn't have that patch yet.

I found it crashes if I remove by cut all the files in one tab and want to paste them into another tab. This started with the 16.04 xubuntu upgrade

Just wanted to add, that Thunar 1.6.10 is still crashing in Xubuntu LTS when renaming a file. Sorry, but don't have the time to strace the issue. Maybe others have the same problem and find this thread. I'm using dropbox, but have no special addon installed. I'm using SMB-Shares, but even local folders are affected. Copying files works fine.

@chrisYellow123, the problem has been fixed in Thunar and released in version 1.6.12. It looks like xenial updates has 1.6.11 available and it seems to have the patch back-ported. Have you tried updating your system to get Ubuntu's 1.6.11 and testing that version?

Thank you ToZ! I had only enabled the security updates and I'm trying the regular updates now. Haven't noticed that. Thanks again.
