Low DPI

With all this discussion on the troubles of HiDPI, I am left wondering if there will be any problem at low DPIs.

Most screens I have used have had ~90 DPI. I am now planning to get an ODROID-C2, run Arch-linux-ARM with XFCE on it and connect it to a Full HD, 40 inch television screen. i.e. ~50 DPI. I plan to sit about 5 - 6 feet away, so the resolution is fine.

What I want to know is if the desktop, icons etc. will scale well and be proportional to the screen.
