Hi. Using XFCE4 on a PCLinuxOS 64-bit box.
I'm continually frustrated with the lack of ability to easily select a new wallpaper. Let me tell you what I did.
I created a folder called wallpaperjeff at /home/jeff. I downloaded some graphics to this folder. On the home screen, I right-click, go to Desktop Settings, and select that folder which I've created as the place where my .jpg files are located. They're all grayed out!!!!!! I can see no sense to this. What is the philosophy behind this? And how can I get around it?
XFCE is my desktop of choice. It's the most agile and versatile that I've found, giving me features I want. It's this business with wallpapers that just drives me nuts.
Any help will be appreciated.

When you go to that screen you select the folder. Then it will show all the available images and you select the one you want. You don't select the image in the dialogue only the folder.

Okay, the only way I can get it to work is to find the .jpg in the File Manager, right click, and select it as wallpaper. Thanks.
