Solved. Grub

Hello

I had not much time to get on with the Installation of Xubuntu.  Hovewer i do have a small problem with the Grub. Most of the time I still need to start the computer in Kubuntu. By installing there Grub2, I have in the system installation under «Start and End» a choice «Grub2 Bootloader». First I had to install  «kde-coonfig-grub2». Once that done and the Grub Bootloader started, I could choose the Operating system for automatic start, if I do not react inside 15 seconds and choose another one. If I do that on Kubuntu, there is no change, automatically the computer starts with Xubuntu.

How can I achieve this effect in Xubuntu?

Thanks a lot for your tipps.

Re: Solved. Grub

I'm sure you realize that your question has exactly NOTHING to do with Xfce. Sorry, but my tip is this: post this question on the Xubuntu forum. BTW: they may mention Grub Customizer...

Re: Solved. Grub

I am sorry, to have bothered. It will not happen any more. I our German Kubuntu-Forum we try to answer all questions somebody poses and refer to KDE or Ubuntu Fori only when we are outwitted. Good to know to ask first if it is a specific Xfce question.

On the other hand, thanks a lot for your tip. I now installed Grub Customizer, which is in Kubuntu in the Repos, and here I installed first the PPA. that it does not do what I want just as an aside.

Re: Solved. Grub

In our German Kubuntu-Forum we try to answer all questions somebody poses and refer to KDE or Ubuntu Fori only when we are outwitted.

The difference is that Kubuntu is a distro and needs to provide support for the totality of its release.

that it does not do what I want just as an aside.

I wasn't sure about that, but thought I might mention it just in case.
