Disabling or editing the right click context menu

Hi,

I'm searching for a way to edit or disable the right click context menu that appears when one clicks on the desktop. Is there a way to do this? I haven't found anything useful on the net.

Thanks in advance!

Edit: Just to clarify, disabling the desktop entirely is not an option I need the desktop icons.

Re: Disabling or editing the right click context menu

Hello and welcome.

It's not currently possible to disable the right-click context menu and have icons display on the desktop. If you wish to pursue this further, you can create an enhancement request at the bug tracker but keep in mind that the current focus of Xfce development is GTK3/gdbus migration.

Re: Disabling or editing the right click context menu

Is that menu called the "desktop menu?" If so, https://wiki.xfce.org/howto/kiosk_mode seems to state that it can be customized by the user... would that include the ability to remove every item?

Failing that, does the menu that the OP is concerned about appear in kiosk mode?

Regards,
MDM
