Turn off the screen on lid close with multihead

Hello,

I usually keep my laptop connected to an external display at home and I use both monitors, what I'd like to accomplish is that when I close the lid the laptop's screen is turned off whatever or not there is a second monitor attached.

While I was searching the web I found this thread: https://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?id=10723 where it is well explained why the screen won't turn off if I have a second display attached, I was wondering if it is possible to somehow bypass this multihead check using the xfce4 configurations or if I have to came up with something else like udev or similar.

Thanks

My system:
- debian testing/sid
- xfce4 4.12.3
- xfce4-power-manager 1.4.4-4
