Howto display Xubuntu version on desktop ?

I have another Ubuntu PC that has a desktop- 'about this computer' drop down
that displays : OS and version
                    Device name
                    Memory amount
                    Graphics
                    OS type 64=bit
                    Disk size

Is there a way to install this on Xubuntu?

I thought I knew how to display the Xubuntu version, preferably on the desktop, but terminal mode would be just fine.
