[SOLVED] Tweaking NOX theme issues

Hello everyone,

I'd like to tweak NOX theme so that buttons and other UI controls appear more smoothly like they do for Adwaita theme.  In fact, right now Adwaita theme is the only one that provides smooth, slightly rounded button edges which I really like, most other controls have this abrasive Win95-like appearance which I don't like.

The system I am using is Gentoo.  I tried to add the following from other themes:

engine "xfce"
    {
        smooth_edge = true
        boxfill
        {
            fill_style = plain
        }
    }

Into NOX/gtk-2.0/gtkrc  but that didn't work.  I am also not sure what part of NOX gtkrc block this should to be added or if there is some other solution.  Could somebody please suggest how to make NOX theme controls appear smooth and rounded like in Adwaita?

Thank you,
Victor.

Re: [SOLVED] Tweaking NOX theme issues

I solved the problem.  In NOX/gtk-2.0/gtkrc was empty block with "murrine" engine.  I took a chance and installed murrine theme:

emerge --ask murrine-themes

And along with a new set of murrine-themes that were installed, NOX buttons and other NOX controls became more smooth and more enjoyable to use now smile
