[Solved] Issues Binding XF86AudioMute, etc

On Fedora 24-

I tried binding "XF86AudioMute/RaiseVolume/LowerVolume via "amixer set Master toggle/5%+ -q/5%- -q" in Settings Editor, but it doesn't seem to bind. Any ideas on how I can get the media buttons working?

"XF86AudioPlay/Next/Prev" were assigned automatically ("pragha ~~pause/next/prev") and work without a hitch. "amixer set Master toggle" works in terminal. All XF86 keys seem to work in Gnome 3.20.

I set up the same key combos but used Settings - Keyboard - Application Shortcuts. I did remove the Pragha ones first. That's on Korora 24 (which is really Fedora 24).

Further f* up.

Not entirely sure what I did (between uninstalling thunar, thus xdesktop as a result, or trying out openbox [reinstalled and removed], or reinstalling XFCE), but "amixer set Master toggle" in terminal now results in "Unable to find simple control 'Master',0"  Needless to say, keyboard bindings for XF86AudioMute/RaiseVolume/LowerVolume no longer work.

Ergh. Also, there doesn't appear to be a Audio/Sound Manager in Settings Manager

Sound and sound control is working though through pulseaudio. Everything still works in Gnome (except "amixer set Master (x)" in terminal)

It's possible when you removed Thunar and xfdesktop other parts of Xfce went too. Try dnf group install "Xfce Desktop" and see if anything is missing.

Uninstalled/reinstalled via @xfce-desktop already. Tried it again just in case, but apparently, all "dependencies resolved" Thanks though
