How to make device icons appearing on a panel instead of the desktop

I use Xubuntu 14.04 LTS.

On /etc/fstab I have some devices with options

comment=x-gvfs-show, comment=x-gvfs-name=MyDevice

to make them appear on the desktop.

I'm trying to move everything from the desktop to a panel, to have a kind of deskbar with all the needed launchers.
How do I make these device icons to appear on a panel?

I could just make quick launchers but I like how in Thunar, for example, these devices are automatically added on the left frame.
I want to keep that while not having any icon on the desktop.

Bonus: how can I do the same for plug-and-play devices such USB? I mean making a USB launcher appear on a panel instead of the desktop.

Perhaps the xfce4-places-plugin? It is a panel plugin that lists all of your "places" which can include mounted partitions and removable media exactly like Thunar's side bar.

Yep, problem is I wanted one launcher per device.
Anyway, I just hid the desktop icons and made the panel launchers manually; fine enough.
