Audio Notifications in Terminal

I have scoured the net profusely, and I have been unable to find anything concrete. My goal is to have it setup so that whenever I issue a command in terminal, I want a sound file to play. I know that I can do that via aliases and the like, but is there a way for me to do it another way? I have already coded things so that I get greeted by terminal whenever I start it, AND I get told goodbye when I exit...this is all that I need now. Any suggestions, guys? Thanks in advance!

edit: sorry, I think I misread your question, the thread above is about Sound Themes and system sounds, perhaps this is closer to what you're looking for?
