LibreOffice Calc Extremely slow to refresh

I'm running xfce4 on Ubuntu.  LibreOffice Calc is extremely slow to refresh (repaint) when switching between applications.

When I run the default Ubuntu desktop, repainting is essentially instantaneous so the issue seems to be with xfce4.

Is this a known issue, or is there a workaround?

Thanks!

Can't say I've run into that in Debian so may be a Ubuntu issue.
I mostly use WPS office though. Generally more responsive and better compatibility with MS Office.

I've not seen that either, and I'm a heavy user of Calc and Impress (5.1.5). Agree that is likely an Ubu problem, but have you tested on Xubuntu, maybe in a VM, where the integration might be smoother?

MX-23 (based on Debian Stable) with our flagship Xfce 4.18.
