Alternate Sound Card Default

Good evening XFCE community smile

So I have that external sound card in the form of a USB stick. I plug it, and it transmits sound from / to a headset (It's a Corsair Gaming HD4000 or something like this). On the headset, there is a button to turn the volume up and down, which is digital (It's not a variable resistor).

Everything works quite good, but there is one thing that I'd like to figure out. I use this on my laptop computer, so I plug the USB thingy quite often. Every time I plug the USB thingy, I have to go to the sound options and set that Corsair headset as default. This way apps use it and the microphone, and importantly, the volume control button actually controls the main volume slider in XFCE.

I was wondering if there was a way to define priority to my devices, this way when I plug the USB thingy, it would automatically become the default?

For the ones that are wondering about compatibility, the headset worked OOtB for me. Here is a lsusb if you're curious or want to purchase one (My pre-requisite was for Linux compatibility, and the dude at the store let me try them before making my mind up):
