How to mount second drive

I'm adding a new much larger mSATA SSD to replace the small one fitted in my laptop. There will be room for most of /home on it but I will need to leave 'videos' and 'downloads' on the main HDD (where the whole of /home currently resides).

I'm not certain how to mount the HDD partition in such a way as it shows within /home/david in Thunar and when using rsync. Can I mount it as /home/david/other?

This is not a specifically xfce problem, for which I apologise, but I hope someone can shed some light on how to link things.

CURRENT:
SSD: Boot partition, main Mint o/s partition
HDD: Swap partition, home partition

PROPOSED:
SSD: Boot partition, main Mint o/s partition, home partition, swap partition
HDD: 'Other' partition (for video and download folders)

Thank you
David

Re: How to mount second drive

Definitely not an Xfce issue. That said, I think this is the canonical way to do it.
