Hi ,
Why is there a limit for the size of the systray icons , of 64 pixels ?
Is there a tool which display systray icons bigger ?
It should not be a big deal with svg files for the rendering .

Looks like it's hard coded.
There is also this bug report and patch that removes the use of the mini-icon if labels are used, that might or might not be relevant.

Thanks but i don't want to remove icons .
I tried with stalonetray , and its kind of the same size that xfce4-panel .
Where are definied the limits for systray icons ?
I also tried with a svg icon theme .

Sorry, my bad. I confused two plugins.
The systray icons seem to be limited to 64 pixels (see my first link above). However, changing that number alone doesn't fix the issue - there is something else in the code that seems to be limiting the size. Probably best to create a bug report requesting to allow larger sized notification area icons.

Ok, but that doesn't explain why the maximum size of the systray icons is the same for stalonetray .
Which is non-related to xfce4 .
Even if i specify a size of 100 px , it appear like xfce4-panel 64 px limit .

Interesting. I downloaded stalonetray and noticed the same. Even tried forcing icon size via "stalonetray -i 96 --kludges force_icons_size". I do not know where the limitation is.

On it's sourceforge page there is a link to the author's email and a statement to contact him with questions, suggestions, and/or bugs.

I installed tint2 , change the line in config file to:
systray_icon_size = 100 #24
Still no effect .
So, it appear that there is no decent systray for GNU/Linux.
