I'm using xfce4 from ubuntu 16.04, and I'm trying to get my Canon compact camera mounted when plugged with the usb cable.
The camera is known to the system:
$ gphoto2 --auto-detect
Model Port
----------------------------------------------------------
USB PTP Class Camera usb:001,006
and it shows up in thunar device list, but it's not automounted
I want to import the photos with gthumb, and I set my removable devices preference for camera to the gthumb importer, it's launched, but it doesn't see the camera because it's not mounted.
All the options for automounting are set in removable devices preferences, but the camera isn't mounted...
Is it a bug or how can I activate camera automounting?
Android phone working in mtp mode isn't mounted either when usb plugged.
Here are syslog lines of camera plugging (sorry, some line is in italian...):

You should allow Gnome services to be launched at startup. Then it'll auto-mount both camera and/or phone and make them visible in Thunar unless the port itself is faulty.

I set gnome services to be launched at startup, but the issue persists.

In that case, reinstalling the gvfs-backends package may help you to resolve this issue.
