For some reason the terminal opens whenever I boot!
I looking at the starting programs, and terminal is not listed.

Thanks for the help.

Hello and welcome.
Clear your sessions cache.
If you are using 4.12, then Settings Manager > Session and Startup > Session tab > "Clear saved sessions" and on the General tab, make sure that "automatically save session on logout" is unchecked and make sure you don't have "Save session for future logins" selected when you log out on the log out dialog.

Thank you very much. That did the trick.
But, I apple style menus installed also, but they are gone.
Questions:
Is there an easy way to get them back, or do I have to install them again?
On the stock taskbar(?) on the bottom in the center is there site to show me how to customize it?
Sorry, for asking the FAQ, if they are. But, I had used Gnome for many years that I remeber until I got tired of its memory demands. Then I recently decided to ditch it and try Xfce.
So far so good, I love Xfce. But I have long way to go to learn every thing.
Thanks for reading and all the help.

What are "apple style menus"? Do you mean topmenu? If so, there is some information here.

There is some documentation located here, here, and here. There is probably more around, if you search for it.
