Terminal freeze / hangs

Hi there,

I àm using Debian Sid with version 0.8.1-1 xfce4-terminal. There is no problem when using as user.

Problems i have when i switched to root with su. then the terminals hangs after some actions and
there is nothing i can do. Control D or C nothing helps.

But i don't have an idea how to debug this. There are no entrys in journal files or so.
Can someone give me a hint?
