XFCE4 terminal doesn't support CP866 encoding

CP866 is also known as IBM866

I need it for the following reasons:

1.I use Pascal for learning programming and as using UNICODE is far from trivial, I have to use one of 8-bit codepages for Cyrillic language because my native language is Russian. In order it to work correctly I need to change default encoding of XFCE4 terminal.

2.From all 8-bit codepages I should use CP866, because it's codepage that my supervisor from my college uses. And it's so probably because he uses DOS-version of Free Pascal IDE (previously they used DOS IDE of Turbo Pascal, so it's already progress).

The problem is that XFCE4 terminal doesn't support CP866 encoding. Is there any way to make him support it?

Meanwhile, I see only two alternatives:

1)Use supported 8-bit Cyrillic codepage and then convert my program to CP866 before sending. I don't want to do it because I'm quite absent-minded, I can just forget to do it.

2)Find another terminal that supports CP866 and make him my new default terminal.

Which version are you using? I see CP866 listed under Cyrillic on 0.8.3.

I use 0.6.3
Probably it's because my OS is Debian Stable

You need to update to get the functionality you want. Perhaps check with your distro to see if that is possible.
