remove item only from "settings manager"

Hello!

1) Tell me please, can I removing item (*.desktop) ONLY from "settings manager"?
2) otherwise, can I removing item (*.desktop) from all menu unless "settings manager"?

Re: remove item only from "settings manager"

for #1 just copy the *.desktop from your $sysprefix/$datadir/applications(usually /usr/local/share or /usr/share) to ~/.local/share/applications

for example: xfce-wm-settings.desktop

......
Categories=XFCE;GTK;Settings;DesktopSettings;X-XFCE-SettingsDialog;X-XFCE-PersonalSettings;
....

if you remove ;X-XFCE-SettingsDialog;X-XFCE-PersonalSettings it will be removed from the settings manager

also for #2 you probably have to edit the *.menu file since you need to let the menu ignore files that are part of a category

Re: remove item only from "settings manager"

sixsixfive, Thank you!
I understand correctly, in the file ~/.config/menus/xfce-applications.menu does not have the show settings *.desktop file in the "Settings manager"? Only menu
