What causes xfce to look differently on machines with the same config?
Hello,
I have two machines which use xfce 4.12 as their desktops. Both machines use the same version of xfce (those machines have Archlinux, and both are up-to-date) and desktops are configured identically (Clearlooks theme with Default-4.8 style and icons from default Gnome theme. Only fonts are a bit different - one uses DejaVu Sans and the other uses Arial). Until recently both desktops looked identical, but suddenly something has changed and one of the desktops started to look different. It seems as though it now uses another theme, but when I try to compare configurations for both desktops everything still seems identical.
For example, this is how a dialog for 'Window Manager' configuration looks on those machines:

Note for example the difference between backgrounds for a pressed 'Help' button, a difference between sliders, tab selection and arrows for dropdown boxes.
Looking at the diff between configurations I don't see anything that could cause this difference. Below are configurations for xfwm4 & xsettings (only the following keys have different values: full_width_title, placement_ratio, snap_width, workspace_count, FontName & DoubleClickTime)

Do you have something in your ~/.gtkrc-2.0 file?
Or something in ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css?

Thanks for the info, the difference was indeed caused by changes in ~/.gtkrc-2.0.
Seems that the file was generated by one of the generic theme configuration programs, but since the machine is rarely restarted the effects of the change appeared only much later and therefore it was hard to understand a causality relationship.
