Planned regression thunar feature mouse select file detailed view

Hello I am wondering if such regression bellow was planned?

Expected behavior:
Thunar 1.6.3

Bug & regression feature
Thunar 1.6.10

picture2

Problem is not present in view as Icons or Compact List.

Can anyone provide explanation?

It will still work if you start the drag action on any column other than the name column.

yes, but  that is not what is expected in thunar. Then only  dolphin is the last  file manager  with such feature.

yes, but  that is not what is expected in thunar.

That is why there are bug reports about the issue. Feel free to comment in them. However, also be aware that the current work emphasis is on migrating thunar to GTK3.
