Alternative to kaffeine tv-program

Debian stretch Xfce with kaffeine 2.0.5

Hardware is Hauppage NOVA S-Plus dvb-s

Works, picture and sound ok, but the channel change is to say "clumsy", sometimes not working.

Did not experience that with the old kaffeine version 1.2.2-3 under jessie.

(One solution could be, changing back to that old version, but at the moment, I don't know how to do that ....)

Any recommendations here for an alternative to kaffeine for tv viewer under Xfce?

Re: Alternative to kaffeine tv-program

Never mind. I cling to kaffeine, but some issues with kaffeine 2.0.5 under DEBIAN Stretch made me change to Mint 18.2 with kaffeine 1.2.2.

Everything is fine at the moment.Changing distro is easy, when you try to stay with one file extension (deb, in that case)

Me-tv is a bit out dated and vlc will work also (somehow). Pity is, that multimedia issues are not on the priority list of the DEBIAN team ....
